This is a family style Italian restaurant. Being from New York, Italian is always my go-to safe choice when travelling! And they didn’t disappoint!
This was my first time ever trying KBBQ! I don’t have anything to compare it to so my rating is based on my picky taste!
We stopped here after Franklin Falls for some burgers, root beer floats and hot chocolates. Very much needed after our long adventure in the snow! The ambiance was old fashion diner vibes, could easily have a photoshoot here, like Jake Paul with the owner of the shop a few years back.

Rattlesnake Ledge
Moderate – 5.3 Miles – 1,459 ft Elevation Gain
I really wanted to call this one Chipmunk Ledge because of how interactive and abundant the chipmunks were in this area! I had read this hike would be long, but we finished it so fast we doubted if we even did the entire thing. Was moderate enough of a hike that I did this almost straight after getting off my flight to Seattle. Pictures Below.
Franklin Falls
Easy – 2 Miles – 364 ft Elevation Gain
This hike was definitely an adventure. The access road was closed, so we hiked .5 miles in the snow to the trailhead, realizing then that there was an avalanche this past winter. Being it was May, we decided to continue the hike hoping the snow would get better. If I were rating this hike on our experience I would rate it hard, as it was a struggle to avoid any sinkholes in the snow or possibly even fall off a snowy cliff. The rocks were super slippery this time of year so they advise to use caution and pack shelter and anything you’d need to survive as there has been ample rescues in the area since the avalanche. To the left of the base of the waterfall was the end of the avalanche, a very different sight than what you will see here in the summer. If you’re hiking in the winter though, I do suggest proper footwear and plenty of water , food, and some shelter just in case! Pictures Below.
